It’s 4:30am and I know I need to kick my own ass again before we attempt Kilimanjaro and Last night at 9:40pm, outside a restaurant, I picked up some crampons and an ice axe from Ryan Dahlem (the amazing climber from my school who summited Everest).  I don’t know what the hell to do with crampons and an ice axe, although Ryan did try to explain it to me in a parking lot next to his car. Peter will help me. Today I am attempting to climb 11,503 feet to the top the highest peak in Southern California. I don’t know yet whose ass is going to get kicked harder. Mine or the mountain’s.

Stay tuned.
