The New Forest was one of the few places we’ve c The New Forest was one of the few places we’ve camped in England that felt like being in the wilderness. But we could still walk/bike to the pub 😉 There are loads of beautiful bike trails and the ponies make it feel so magical. What are some of your favorite camping experiences? Any good animal stories? I would love to hear so please share them in the comments. Happy Adventuring!

We spent the day in the Wimpole Estate Gardens and We spent the day in the Wimpole Estate Gardens and despite how dry England is at the moment, it was beautiful. Plums and apples are ripening, flowers are holding strong and trees are ready for climbing. Every part of today was lovely except the part where we said goodbye to special friends. A plus to moving a lot is you meet amazing people… the downside is that you have to say goodbye 😢. Good thing goodbyes are temporary and friendships are forever. Love you @alybenitalie, come back soon!!

For 400 years The Gardens of Heligan were the home For 400 years The Gardens of Heligan were the home of the Tremayne family. At the start of WW2 the gardens were abandoned, overgrown, and forgotten. But, In 1990 they were rediscovered by two men (one a descendant of the Tremayne family) and became Europe’s largest garden restoration project.

This place is magnificent. The veg garden is out of a dream, the playground is adventurous and gigantic, there’s a woodland, a farm, a tropical jungle, dahlias, camellias, rhododendrons, even a bug hotel! I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often. Definitely Put @heligangardens on your UK must see list!

Our children are their best when away from screens Our children are their best when away from screens, away from toys, away from the hustle and bustle and deep in the throes of adventure in the natural world. If you haven’t tried it yet, make a plan to step away from the stuff and the concrete and toward the trees, a garden, the beach, or a lookout… I promise you won’t regret it!

Do you love a good ghost story? If you do, Carew C Do you love a good ghost story? If you do, Carew Castle has great ones! The guide working on the day we visited told us so many stories from the castle’s rich history. We loved his storytelling and it helped us all remember some important historical facts! Like what boiling pee was used for in battle 🤣 I highly recommend a visit!

3 kids, 2 parents, 3 weeks. I get a lot of motivat 3 kids, 2 parents, 3 weeks. I get a lot of motivation from a fast approaching deadline but my partner is the opposite. This time I promised him we could start early.I have to admit when he’s right, and this time he is definitely right. We started packing 3 WEEKS before this trip.

First things in the piles were

-GEAR- rain gear, rock climbing gear, hiking gear swimming and sun stuff, water bottles, electronics, charging cables,
-TOILETRIES- Our family bathroom bag by @ospreypacks , fully loaded and ready to go
-FOOD AND SUPPLEMENTS- granola bars, protein powder, @athleticgreens, first aid bag, etc.
SHOES- hiking/running shoes and sandals
OTHER STUFF- laundry bag, stain remover (spray n wash) and detergent. I found these awesome detergent sheets from @truearthmovement (no powder or liquid!) water bottles/bladders, spare batteries, all the extra bits and pieces that aren’t clothing.

The LAST THINGS I packed were our CLOTHES. Mainly because we don’t have a lot of them and the kids needed to wear their clothes before we left. But I did manage to get all the kids and my clothes packed 6 days before we left. (Peter packed his clothes a week before )

Packing early allowed us to stay calm, organized, and rested. No all-nighters the evening before, no bickering and dirty looks, and we didn’t forget anything!

One of the coolest places we’ve visited in Engla One of the coolest places we’ve visited in England is St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall. According to legend, the island was home to a giant named Cormoran. He terrorized the local villages until one day a boy named Jack trapped him in a pit and killed him. If you look vclosely, you can see the giant’s heart which is hidden on the stone steps leading to the castle.
We loved it here. The history is exciting and it’s obviously also a great place for kids. Just remember to check the tides! The castle is accessible by causeway so time your visit carefully ☺️

Eliminating the grumpy local vibe with a dance par Eliminating the grumpy local vibe with a dance party in our favorite cozy clothes by @childhoodsclothing. If you visit Paris, make sure you bring your own fun and smiles cause they certainly aren’t handing them out 😜.

I’ve been a fan of @childhoodsclothing for years. It’s well made and I know this because most of it is on its third kid! Comfy, cozy, and super cute.

This is not a collaboration with Childhoods Clothing, I just adore them and love to share. Their clothes are pricey but they are made in the USA, they have great sales, awesome customer service, and the quality is solid!)
