Follow us on Instagram!I wouldn’t leave the party until he asked me out and that was the best decision I ever made. Happy Anniversary my love. Sorry for being a creeper I just knew you were the one. 🤷♀️ thanks for the party @lkgoldman @dan_way8 @loleujensen @rd_way_ 📷 @mikeadrian 🙏🏼On Friday March 22nd our third baby was born fast and beautifully at home. This was our second planned home birth and the experience was everything I wanted. The gentle care of our midwives and dedicated friends who hopped out of bed at 3am to support me, the love and presence of Peter and our two older children make my heart feel like it’s going to burst. 🌟 Our baby is a boy and he’s perfect. He arrived at 7lbs 14oz and we are still finalizing a name. Until we do, the kids are calling him Seaweed. They think that fits our family name theme. 😂 🌟 THANK YOU to our new community in Bend who went above and beyond to make us feel supported as we approached this transition. A meal train was set up, food was dropped off, rides home were given, play dates offered, texts and social media messages were sent... A friend even dropped off a Ayurvedic postpartum recovery meal she prepped for us to put in the croc pot when labor started so it was ready to nourish me when baby was born. Congee for the win! 🌟 I’ll never know how we got so lucky (in less than 2 years) to find so many new wonderful people in our lives. And to my soul sisters and mama in SoCal, friends in other parts of the country and world, I felt ALL THE LOVE! Apparently so did the baby because his placenta came out in the shape of a heart ❤️😳 🌟 For those friends who texted and worried that their check-ins were a bother I want to say- never ever EVER is receiving love a bother to me. I cherished the knowledge that you were holding our family in your hearts and minds. 🌟 I do not take one bit of this for granted. All my love right back atcha you wonderful people! You sure know how to make a mama feel supported and for that I am grateful. @kimieabreak 🙏🏼 @mountainlightashtanga 🙏🏼@bendbirthcenter 🙏🏼@candiceannw 🙏🏼 @lkgoldman 🙏🏼 @baudinolori 🙏🏼 @92675forme 🙏🏼My lovely and talented friend Cate took a quick photo sesh with me and my babes (and my mama) in one of my favorite parks in Bend. Peter was enjoying the best ski day of his life so I’m not sorry he isn’t in these 😉 We love him so much that he is always there (even when he’s not). Thanks for loving these beautiful babes with me my love. All 3 of them! When you can’t get to the mountain, there is always the second story roof. ⛷Poles and Attitude! The season’s hottest new accessories. Watch- I’m gonna come back from skiing maternity leave and this kid is going to beat me down the mountain 🤦♀️ ...Maaaaaybe I’ll just say my pants are too tight and tight pants slow me down. 👍🏼This man is the donut to my coffee and the hot sauce to my burrito. Thank you my Valentine for loving me, supporting me, and giving me ALL the babies ❤️ I LOVE this life we’ve created, I LOVE adventuring with you and I LOVE watching you do rad stuff. I can’t wait to be outside doing rad stuff with you again soon. 😍❤️💗

My niece is spending a semester abroad in Nepal. In honor of her adventure, it’s time I finally publish our adventure in Nepal… from… ahem… two years ago. So yeah, that pregnancy and baby thing really set me back on our travel posts. Better late than never! We booked our trip with grand expectations. Himalayan adventures in films and magazines put Nepal at the top of our list. We were living in Abu Dhabi and given that Kathmandu was a four hour flight, we didn’t hesitate to book a trip.
Our dream for Nepal consisted of a strenuous multi-week adventure to the remote regions of the Himalayas but we only had a few days so we decided on a multi-DAY trek instead. If Nepal was as amazing as we hoped, we would return.
So here’s the big take-a-way. Our trip didn’t meet our expectations and was a disappointment. Fortunately though, Sabine is experiencing a very different Nepal. One that is living up to her expectations. Her pictures and stories are making me want to go back and recreate our dream adventure. But for now, here is our trip in a nutshell. And maybe a few things to think about if you decide to plan a visit.
